Fan vs Fan shroud

I've had my truck for 10 years. (283 motor) Never had a fan shroud.
I plan on installing a/c in the near future so I purchased a used original non a/c fan shroud for my truck. Removed the fan, attached the shroud exactly where it should attach. Went to re-attach the fan and it does not line up. The radiator and shroud favor the drivers side by 1/2 an inch and sits about 1/2 an inch high.
Any suggestions to get a proper fit?

Are your motor mounts in good shape?

Re: Fan vs Fan shroud

try loosening the upper supports, you can get some movement both ways. Had the same problem after swapping to a hd cooling system, got it close by the above and then had to hog the shroud holes out a hair to get it just right. Just a couple ideas
