Auto tranny shift linkages

Are auto tranny shift linkages different between a 2 and 4wd truck?
I converted the long gone 4spd to a turbo 350 in the 71 but dont have the linkages for a 4wd.I do how ever have linkages from a 2wd somewhere and if they will work I'll dig them out and use them..

Re: Auto tranny shift linkages

They will not work. The pivot point on the frame (bolt on) is different and the actuating lever from column to trans is different- lokar would be a nice set -up especially with the lift and such that you already have on yours.
