Re: well after a years wait

Congratulations on buying a 67 pick-em-up. Looks solid.
Have patience with working the bugs out. I just got mine back from the shop (inspection) after 5 yrs. of it sitting out in the yard. That first ride is sweet, but I've got a ways to go to get everything "just right", mechanically speaking.

Glad no one has given that quote, "Rome wasn't built in a day" There will be down times followed by lots of progress. Use the down time to plan your project some when the money is available- it will go farther.

Re: well after a years wait

And remember, there is always something to do, even if you have no money. There are plenty of things that need to be taken apart, cleaned and put back together.. Sanding and prep work is great for downtime. Get your shop vac out and go after the little tight areas that are often overlooked. Take an old nylon brush and start scrubbing on the undercarriage. Clean up threads, fix up wires, check grommets, polish the hell out of something for the sake of doing it.

I find this helps to keep me motivated on a project, and to know it inside and out.. Also helps me spot the stuff I will be fixing later for better future planning.
