is it worth it

i have an opportunity to buy what i belive is a 71 blazer
it has the 71 72 grille and 71 door pannels
its kinda mix matched for parts and colors but the only unuseable parts r the doors and the front passenger fender
the frame and floors r great on it
the guy wants 300 for it all the glass is good and it needs new rockers near the front of the cab
its a lift off top i belive and it has a non runnin 350 a 4 speed it is all so 4 wheel drive
now my main question is r the doors fenders and the rockers from pickups any different? becuase iff not i have all the body parts needed to make this blazer like new once more

Re: is it worth it

Buy it! You can cut down pickup doors and the fenders are the same. You can't go wrong buying that Blazer for $300.

Re: is it worth it

i just got back from buyin the blazer
i brought a batery with an some gas and carb cleaner and i got it to fire but it didnt start due to bad wires
turns out it was parked becuase the front axle split and it was held up by block but i have enough parts from my pickups to repair it
both quarters r a little flimsy but i am gonna patch them up
ill try and get pics up of it but my camera died when i was pickin up my last truck from nebraska and i havent gotten a new one yet
what could i expect as a turnaround on the blazer after i replace everything i can clean it up a bit and make it so it can at least drive up on a trailer?

If it'll run on it's own and make it to a gas station and back i'd say 1500 is reasonable. It sounds like it won't take much to get it running so i'd say you're in for a decent profit. I'd like you to about the front axle being split. Did the housing crack, axle break??? If the housing split i'd be very tedious in inspecting the frame, leaf springs, steering box mounting points cuz breaking the housing isn't easy.

Outstanding deal. I was with chevyman63, if you didn't buy it, I would have been asking for the info so I could. What did you mean by lift off top? They all have a lift off top.
