vacuum advance

I'm running a holly 500cfm two barrel race carb no choke and no vacuum. witch leaves me with this one question how do I properly hook up the vacuum advance on my distributor?

that's where I got it along with the transmission works swell till you drop it in gear. then it looses vacuum and looses power

What have you got the time set at? (with vac. unhooked). How much vac. does it pull at idle?

I think its a couple degrees before. so just not enough vacuum. due to it being an old crappy engine. looking at the thing its surprising that its still running at all. also their is a constant tic coming from inside. it seems to be affecting number two all but sputters on occasion

Time is way to low. Advance it to about 10* 10 12* with vac. disconnected from advance.

Yep. Keep advancing until it starts to kick back then back off a little.
