Intermittent wipers
My 84 Silverado has intermittent wipers. My 86 Custom doesnt have intermittent wipers. What all is needed to make them work? Will the 84 parts work with the 86?

Re: Intermittent wipers
All you need to get intermittent wipers is the correct turn signal switch and the black box that plugs into the harness between the column and the dash harness. Drop the access panel under the column and you will see the delay box. I can't remember if it sits above or below the column, but it is about 3x5 and is a black box with aluminum heat sinks.
The 84 parts will work on the 86. |

Re: Intermittent wipers
That's good news. I'm switching out the column for the tilt steering. I wasn't for sure if the wiper motor would be different or not. I know that the 84 has the wiper and washer pump as one unit. On the 86 they are separate.
