Newer 8 lug wheels on a 72 c20?
I purchased some wheels off of a 2005 2500HD and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to handle the fitment issues with the rear caps?
Also any issues with lug nuts, I believe the newer are metric? There was an older post on this swap, but I can't seem to get it to come up. thanks in advance.. Mike

I put 94 rims 8 lug with caps that use plastic lug nut covers onto my 74 truck.
The lug nuts are SAE on 74 and lugs on later model are metric.Also the out side theads are metric for the plastic lugs. There is a website that sells SAE lug nuts that have the outside threads metric for plastic lugs and caps.I actualy got mine at a swapmeet from a guy that sells lug nuts only. Just type in lug nuts and search the internet they will come up. Carlos |
