where to find gas tank brackets
i'm looking for a set of fuel tank brackets for my 77 K20. i've got a brand new tank to go under it, and my current brackets are rusted to pieces. i remember seeing them in several catalogs before, but cant seem to find them now. does anyone know where i can get these brackets new? for those who are unclear im looking for the bracket that bolts to the frame, then the gas tank sits on top of it, with the strap bolted to the bottom of the bracket, then around the tank. any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: where to find gas tank brackets
LMC sells the straps but the picture doesn't look like it includes the bracket that bolts to the frame. You could try some salvage yards to try and find a decent set.
If you can't find one maybe someone on here has a set that isn't too far away. I have a set I just took out of a parts truck that is just laying in my backyard waiting for a new home... but I'm not that close to you. |

Re: where to find gas tank brackets
I'm in the same situation. I have a dual tank 87. I have a brand new tank sitting in my garage. I have to replace a leaking driver side and I was able to patch the passenger side which will work fine as a "backup" tank. Before I go to put the new tank in, I want to replace the brittle brackets. I'm shopping around too and I can't find them anywhere.

I seen them listed on a website not too long ago, but can't for the life of me remember what site. I'll have to have a look around to see if I can't spot them again.

Re: where to find gas tank brackets
the GM ones are still available, however, i can buy them at wholesale for 34.00 each. i'd like to spend a little less than that if i can.

Re: where to find gas tank brackets
Interesting these posts are 6 years old, I think they may have resolved their problems. Equally as interesting is you and the company are located in the same city and all you have posted is promoting them. You might want to just pay for a vendor membership, just saying.
