questions before i buy a sb 350
I'm about to buy a small block 350 for a really good price. it's coming out of a 95 with all the computers needed to run the engine but i woud like to convert it to run on a carb. Is this possible and what mounts do i need to bolt it into my 67 c-10 frame. I have never installed an engine with a computer.

Use your stock 67 mounts. And yes it's easy to run it with a carb and not TBI. You'll need a new intake manifold and carb (obviously). Possibly a new distributor, but I am not 100% positive on that. You probably should still have the bossing to hook up a stock mechanical fuel pump or use an electric inline fuel pump.
If you use the accessies off the 95, get them all. As the water pump, fan, etc... rotate backwards of the 67 v8. The serpentine setup is nice to have.

Re: questions before i buy a sb 350
thank you i haven't seen the motor yet and wasn't sure on the fuel pump situation. i already have an intake i will only have to buy a carb. i believe i will go with the new tubular style frame mounts and the new style motor mounts. thank you very much for your input.

Re: questions before i buy a sb 350
You ought to post this over in the engine/drivetrain section for some more responses. If you ditching the TBI and going to carb, I'm not really sure the computer is going to be needed. I took a 1989 TBI 454 and converted it to carb and put in an MSD Ready-to-Run distributor and the computer wasn't needed. That motor is in my 69 K20.
What kind of miles are on the 95 350? I had a 95 GMC Tahoe and I hate to say it but that motor was a complete dog. To bad you aren't looking at a newer Vortec 350.

Re: questions before i buy a sb 350
Yeah i'm still up in the air on my decision on the tbi or a carb. Like i said i have all of the computer components that i would need. i figured i would get a msd 6 to run the motor if i went with the carb option. i haven't seen this motor run and to be honest with you i really don't know how many miles it has on it. i was only going to pay 200 for the motor. i didn't have a motor in my 67 so i really don't know if the mounts are for a straight 6 or a v8.
