TOTM-September 2007
This month our theme is:
It's not Nautical, but it's a Fleet. Let us check out the criteria or rules for those being nominated. • Open to all years and models of fleet side trucks. • It must be together and able to move on its own power. • It must be currently street legal. • If a truck has won a TOTM already in 2006 or 2007, you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category. To Nominate: You or someone else may nominate your truck. Just add the nomination to this thread. We will need a picture or two of the nominee vehicle, the owner’s board name, and the basics specs of the truck (year, engine/drive train specs). You or your nominator can provide additional info if desired. You or your nominator can provide additional info if desired. Nominees will through September 21. If additional information is needed, then I will PM the first 15 nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing them for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up in this board area. The poll will have 1 engine and 1 outside shot of the nominee's vehicle. An announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all of the voting. The Poll will start to run on September 22 and will run until the morning of September 29. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of September 29. The announcement of this month’s TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Re: TOTM-September 2007
Here´s my ´81 GMC c10 longbed fleetside!
Just a few weeks ago it learned to move on its own again after 13 years of waiting and building! It runs a 350 smallblock, edelbrock intake, carter 625 carb, billet pulleys and brackets for p/s and alternator, jethot coated headers, dual exhaust,th 350 tranny and 3.07 gears. The suspension is lowered 4" in front and about 6" in back with belltech parts. The 10x15" eagle alloys are wrapped with 265/50/15 and 295/50/15 Bfg´s. Color is Radiant red from ford!I installed a ron francis wiring harness. The front and rear bumpers were shaved and painted and the grill is from a ´89 blazer. It´s upgraded to tilt steering column and ´89 blazer instrumentpanel and bucketseats and mostly all hardware i used is stainless steel! The interior isn´t done yet and there are still some bucks to spend but she runs and drives and is my joy and pain! |

Re: TOTM-September 2007
Here is my 68 Chevy C10...
It started as a rusty old farm truck that I was gonna fix up a little and have fun driving..... Well freakin way that could happen! And so the snowball beagn to roll! She is made up of a 350 tune port motor, munci 4 speed, Airride technologies cool ride, 1 piece power side windows, all autometer gauges in the stock cluster, black and houndstooth buckets and center console out of a 72 blazer, 18" and 20" torque thrust st's and the list goes on and on. The truck was featured in Classic Trucks Mag in June 2006. Hope you enjoy!

Re: TOTM-September 2007
How about a fleetside from the first year they rolled off the assembly line. Mine is a 58 short fleetside mounted on a '64 chassis. It has a modified 283 with a th400 tranny. Shaved door handles, fuel filler and tailgate, dropped with disc brakes and aftermarket suspension goodies for go-kart cornering.

Re: TOTM-September 2007
I've voted many times before, but this month has got to be the toughest one on which I ever had to pick ONE truck. I liked every one of them, and each one had a different reason why. Congrats to everyone nominated, and now I go back to the agonizing task of picking only one.....................
