Front clip bolts ?
Hello all,
Is there a website out there (or truck guru) that could tell me what bolts I should buy to put the front clip back on my 1969 GMC 2WD Shortbox? The PO didn't include them all, and I need to fix it out of town, so I want them before I leave. |

Re: Front clip bolts ?
Probably not a whole lot of them left in your scrapyards up North, but that would be your BEST way to get the CORRECT ones. If not, I would try the site VENDORS. They may have SETS, but that won't help much if you need them right away. If all else fails, try LONGHORN MAN on the board. HE is your GURU for info. Best of luck on the bolts. Take care, Mike

Re: Front clip bolts ?
I have several buckets of bolts....
Is your clip complete whereas you just need to set it in place and need those bolts? (rear bolts for fenders and bolts for rad support to frame)? |

Re: Front clip bolts ?
Thanks hotrodmtodd, I'll take a look. I'd LOVE to get it road worthy this weekend, but I doubt it will happen, things seem to take longer than they look
John, as far as I know I have all the parts of the clip, except the bolts (just noticed some were missing, but I figured I'd rather have extra). I was actually hoping that there would be a couple of standard sizes, and I could just get a couple of handfuls of each from the local bolt store. |

Re: Front clip bolts ?
We get all of our bolts from Automotive Fasteners Inc. They carry almost all sorts of things that you will never find at you local hardware store. Thats where we get a lot of our body bolts. I believe these are the bolt I used on my 67. Its so mmuch nicer bolting things together with nice new hardware.

Re: Front clip bolts ?
Thanks gotchevys? I'll pick up a box before I go (assuming I can find them locally). If not, I'll order some from Automotive Fasteners Inc.
