Not a bronco!
Hey guys, here is my 70 k5 I picked up a couple months ago for $8000. Not to bad I thought. Well a couple things about it, it is obviously shortened a little bit. A couple feet in the back and a couple inches in the front. I didnt do the work and I don't have any info of the guy that did it in california. It runs pretty well. Has a 350 with a sm465, np205 combo. I want to put a dana 60 and 14bolt with 44's next year. I know you guys are thinking I need a roll bar and I'm having one fabbed up pretty soon. Just thought I would show you guys a one of a kind.

Re: Not a bronco!
That's one badass truck, really well done! Dunno about them 44s tho, what you have now fits fenderwells really nice, anything bigger will look kinda outta place, especially on a short truck like that.

Re: Not a bronco!
Very interesting. I've never seen a blazer modified like that. How does it handle on the road. I think 44's would make it very tippy. What size tires are you running now? I think it looks pretty good the way it sits.

Re: Not a bronco!
The tires are 35x12.5r15's. The wheelbase is 90" from axle to axle. I'm not sure what a jeeps wheelbase is. It handles suprisingly well for being shortened so much. I would like to box the frame later on and put a 4bt with a nv4500. There isn't that much room in the engine bay now even with a short water pump. I just put an aluminum radiator in it sits right over the steering box. So here is how the story goes from the guy that owned it before me. A guy in california built it by shortening a shortbox bed and grafting onto the blazer body. He also shortened the front end and with the hood open I can't even tell where the welds are on the fenders or the hood. The welds on the frame are really well done. So the next thing on the list is to redo the interior with some roddoors panels and nolimit dash. I also like the justdashes pad they have available so I might pick one up later. having a roll bar made for it later on. Oh, and if anyone knows of a hardtop in Idaho please let me know. I need to take one to a fiberglass shop and have it shortened also. Thanks for all the comments guys

Some things aren't supposed to be put in the dryer after you wash them, they will shrink. I like it!

Re: Not a bronco!
Keep the 35's on it and keep it on the road, sorry to say but with a 90" wheelbase and 44's it gonna be fairly dangerous to do any serious wheeling with it.
Welcome to the board, definitely one of a kind. |

Re: Not a bronco!
I saw that on the car lot in Garden City, the welds on that truck/blazer are very well done, I almost bought it but I didn't like how the interior was done. It was fun to test drive though
BTW from Nampa Idaho
