Rear axleshaft 5lug conversion?
I have a 69 Chevy that still has 6lug axleshafts in it and would like to change over to 5lug. Anybody know what brand to go with or the best conversion axle to go with? Whats gunna be the stongest? Any help would be much appreciated Thanks, Scott

When I changed my 67 over to 5 lug I just took my axles to a machine shop and had them filled in and redrilled, and also the center had to be cut down to fit. The guy at the machine shop didnt charge me anything so it must not be that hard.

moser here but with car bolt pattern and late 60 s car drums

I have a nine inch with 35 spline gun drilled Moser's

It has been a few years ago,but if my memory hasnt failed me completly,I used rear axles from a 65 impala 12 bolt rear end in my 69 short stepside.If I remember correctly they slipped right in,and I just used the Impala brake drums also. I beleive I saw this discussed on here a while back.
