extended crew cab conversion

Ok gang This weekend I saw something that had me wondering WTFO?. What it was, (and I wish I had a camera with me to take some pics of it but no) was a mid '80's -'91 crew cab that the rear wall had been moved back about 18-24" with a diamond plate fuel tank and a custom built diamond plate flat bed set up with a receiver like you'd see on an 18 wheeler. The cab extension even had opening vent windows like those on the '88-'98 extended cabs. Now my question......Has anyone else ever seen one of these? If so how's about some pics please?

Re: extended crew cab conversion

Western Hauler is what they were called. Meant for serious towing. I think the extended cab was so the seat could fold down and make a bed.

You mean something like this?

Obviously what you're talking about is quite a bit older, but same concept.

Re: extended crew cab conversion

Yes that's the bed style but as you stated it was in the '73-'91 crew cab square body.
