stock block, how much?
im looking at supercharging my engine and im trying to figure out what i need to get to that point, i was wondering how much the stock block will hold (400sb) or if i'll need to get a new one. haven't really rebuilt an engine before so help me out as much as you can, carb, piston, and cam wise. thanks

Buy good components for the rotating assembly ie crank rods and pistons. Forged pistons are a must. You can get buy with scat crank and rods. As far as pistons I would stay around 8:1 for a street motor. Oh yea I've been told to put another keyway on the crank and get good heads. I am in the process of gathering parts for a blown sbc. Pro topline 200cc heads,scat 9000 crank and h beam rods, and speedpro coated dished pistons. I plan on going with a 6-71 and running methenol. Its going to be a while.
