65 Steering Column Bracket..Need advice

Doing the retrofit with a ididit retro column and ps box on the other end. Got the rez kit, new gearbox and the new column but am having trouble locating a bracket for the column to mount to the bottom side of the dash area. The stock hand brake and bracket are all one assembly but I will not using that anymore since I changed from a 250/3-speed on the column to a 350 and 700R4. I cannot seem to locate a replacement type bracket to secure the column. The columns manufacturers don't sell a stock type replacement bracket for this year....want the stock height so I am not enterested in in a drop column mount. Any previous experience with this problem or some pointers to who might have one would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: 65 Steering Column Bracket..Need advice

I'm having the same problem myself.....Right now it is just sitting in the old bracket.....But I have a later model column, not an Ididit.....

You could come help me wire my truck up....since you have free time since you can't hook up your column...

good luck.....

Re: 65 Steering Column Bracket..Need advice

I've got a flaming river column in mine, but I'm using the stock e-brake mount with a clamp holding the column to it (I plan on welding nuts to the column to make it mount like the factory column this winter), but I've also seen someone using this with very little modification...

He did a write up on it - I'll see if I can hunt it down
