Please Pray for all the family's which Lost homes!

Southern California Wildfires

In October 2007, over a dozen wildfires across Southern California, United States forced the evacuation of thousands of residents. This evacuation comes almost four years to the day after the Cedar Fire of 2003.
At least one person has been reported dead.
Fires burned in Malibu, Lake Arrowhead, Irvine, San Diego, and many other places. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles, Orange, Poway, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties as a result.
This is the worst case of wildfires Southern California has ever had.

Pray for all the people that have lost their homes.
Pray these fires die down soon.
Pray for the firefighters and their safety.

DEAR GOD
Please keep us safe.
Please keep our homes, pets, and families safe.
Please convince people that no house is worth their lives, and that they need to evacuate when asked.
Please keep people off their cell phones so the firefighters can use the lines.
God, please let us all be okay.

Definitely keeping these people at the forefront of my thoughts the last few days.

I truly don't understand how fires that widespread can be fought. My hat is off to those rescue workers!

Yes what would we do with out the Workers.... I have to say thank God he has them Hear and I pray every morning when I wake to the smoke filled air that they are safe and sound. If they were not here California as it is know would Look like HELL on the satellite images. These Fire are spread all over and to let all you out there in the East They are still catch people as we speak trying to lite more. Also I can not beleve the Looting taking place in the evacuated areas. Sometimes I think what the heck has this world come to when not only do you have to worry about the fire getting you .....You also have to worry that your home will still have its contents if it does make it through. Dam Looters!:nut:

Re: Please Pray for all the family's which Lost homes!

This in no way means to diminish the suffering what these people have gone through.
They have lost homes, which can be rebuilt.
But I think of the things that cannot be replaced like photos and movies, records and legal papers and more.
I wonder how many people had vehicles that they had poured years into restoring or modifying and now those are lost. Perhapsyou can buy another car but you will never get back the hours of love and hate put into making it unique.
Coming home the other evening I passed two trucks pulling trailers from up North somewhere. Both were hauling brand new Corvettes. Both cars had spray paint "X's" on the sides, hood and rear and "Flood Vehicle, Salvage" on each side. I wouldlike to know where these came from and what the cost was.
Flood stuff may be able to clean up and even with a salvage title make a cheap race car but the fires are pretty much permanent.
Prayers are with everyone.
