Interior carpet question

I have a couple of questions Is the only way use the floor mount pedal to cut the carpet? If so is there any way to clean it up so it looks nicer?

Also on some trucks I have seen a little grommet like thing that fits in the carpet hole for the dimmer switch anyone know anything about these?

Thanks.

Re: Interior carpet question

I have not looked at my trucks carpet yet, but yes you will need to cut the carpet to use the floor mounted throttle (70 & older). Once your figure out where you should just need a good sharp xacto knife and X the two spots out. I am planning on using a small washer between the carpet and the studs that screw into the floor to clean it up some.

I have not looked at if my carpet has the part about the dimmer switch or not. Not sure How I will work that issue if it doesn't.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Interior carpet question

Or, on your next trip to the junk yard, grab a factory grommet out of the carpet of an old stationwagon or whatever you can find.
Don't forget to look ihn the old vans, also a ford or dodge can donate this part too.
