Just a couple of pic's of progress. Got the front end of the '68 swapped for the 81 disc set up. It went pretty smooth, but i definatly recommend 2 people. we then dropped in the just rebuilt 350 and fired it up with only headers on and no pipes......wow! Unfortunatly i head out for Manitoba 2morrow night, so it won't get finished until mid Nov. I still have to rebuild the rear brakes and find some wheels and tires. I am scared to add up all the receipts.....

People laugh but I can say I have used a Kubota front end loader like that on numerous occations and it works great!!!

Cool I need one of those redneck engine hoists to get a I-6 and a 4 speed tranny out so I can sell them. By the way the engine looks good.

a redneck engine hoist is a tree, a Kubota is mighty upscale if you ask me!!

I could use that Redneck engine hoist to work on my sewage problem. Engine looks good in there.

The engine looks great though. Any idea what sort of headers?

The headers were free, thrown in with another truck deal(JerseyGirls '70 fleet), so i don't know what type that they are. We did the 2 gaskets on each side trick, so i hope that they don't leak. Also for free were the Edelbrock covers and air cleaner....off a friends Trike. My neighbors the "real" mech, so i spent alot of time looking over his shoulder and annoying him with questions, but i did learn alot about building an engine. Due to $ i stayed with a iron manifold & quadrajet......for now. Once i get it on the road and work the kinks out, i'll start on the body work. I'm thinking black with a tan interior, black ralleys with chrome center & rings.
