15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

Does anyone run these rally wheels? I am not sure which to run on the back of my 67. I want to put a 275/60/15 tire or maybe a little larger but do not want it sticking out. I did a search and looked at endless pics but could not find one to see if there combo was sticking out or tucked up nicely. My truck is stock height.

Thanks!
Mike

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

I had those on my 70 shortstep, same rims same size you are talking about, I believe I have the 4 1/2" inch backspacing, they didnt tuck but mine is lowered and the lip of the fender hit the outer edge of the tire. If you have a fleet I think they would they wouldnt rub. Stock height they wouldnt be a problem with fleet or step bed.
Just looked again at your post and I am running a 72 rearend and it is wider than a 67-70 rear also, so that would give you another inch atleast of clearance.

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

ive got some 275/50/15 front and back and they dont come cose to rubing and if you ask me they look skinny in the rear Im not sure how wide you can go with stock fenders but with some aftermarket fends you can get some huge tires in here without any suspension work.

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

I have 15 x 10 (4.5 backspacing) Corvette Rallyes w/ 275/60/15's on my 69 step. 5" drop springs in the back, 3" drop up front. have about 1.75" of inside clearance in the back. doesn't come anywhere near rubbing front or back. the tires are 10.2" wide, so it fills up the well.

I can post a pick if you want, have to get the front end aligned tomorrow....

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

I, too, am running 10" wide 15" rallye wheels on my '67, but it's not a pickup....it's a Corvette.

I am enjoying this thread, however, because it's helping me to plan my upcoming '67 truck project.

Please post more truck photos with these wheels.

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

not to hijack or plug someone related to me...........
but I had an excellent experience with David's Rally Wheels getting my rims. He had what I wanted in stock, he worked with me on the lug covers, shipped the same day, and was honest. The rims I have were made by Wheel Vintiques.

If you are looking for these Rallyes at a very competitive price from a very honest guy, check out:

That is just what I want to use on my '69 step. I was doing some measuring and had doubts that they would fit but they look great on yours. It's nice to know that there is pleanty of clearance.

Hi Bob,

It looks like you found out where I hang out. We could cut the back out of that plastic truck and make it a little more usable. I've been keeping my eyes open for a '67 step. This is the time of year when people seem to want to unload things before they have to store them.

Tom,
By the way, I'm running stock height shocks in the stock locations with no problem. dampens the dips and holes out fine!

Well, howdy Tom, ol' friend. You can run, but you can't hide. Let me know when you find my '67 shorty-step.

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

Here is the best pics I could find of my project with the wheels on it. They are not rally's but they are 15x10 in the rears and not sure on the backspacing, but they are really close to being perfect fitment for me.

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

UMMM!!! It's all homemade it has a leaf spring rear that is flipped and relocated to center the wheels in the wheel wells . The front is cut coils and lowered spring bucket in the lower controll arms . All built in my garage no parts came out of a box on this one!!!!! It even drives quite well!!!!!

Re: 15 x 10 Rally Wheel question

Corn , i don't currently have any front pics . It's not pretty kinda greasy and grimey. All you need to do is cut your lower controll arm buckets out lower them approx. 2'' and weld them back in just make sure you keep them at the same angle . Hope this helps !!! Oh and glad you like the way I did my truck . I think your truck looks *****in' also!!!!!
