My Truck Is Wrecked!

It started out that my truck shut off in the right hand lane on a 2 lane road with a median in the middle on Friday night with busy ass traffic. My 69 was at a dead stop and i dont know whats wrong with it still. My buddy gary was ahead of me in his 66 implala and saw me break down. He circled around and came to help us push. My freind Kris and Gary started pushing the truck off the road while i was steering. Keep in mind that I only had about 50-60 feet before the next driveway so i could get the truck off the road. Weel Gary got tired of pushing and we switched positions. I was pushing in the middle of the tailgate next to my friend Kris on the right side of the bed. About 3 seconds after I started pushing, I instantly saw a silver flash to the left of me and it was a Honda S200 that rearended the back of my truck and skimmed my leg! It scared the **** out of me when it skimmed my leg. The 69 was about 5 to 6 feet in the air and was launched 15 feet foward. I cant beleive that this happened! The cops came and wrote up a ticket for him and I for both of our insurance companies. His paper said he was doing 25 MPH! Can you beleive that!?! As heavy as these trucks are, he launched it that far going 25 MPH! My truck is suprisingly okay. The bumper is gone and my dual pipes behind the wheels are crushed flat. The rearend is pushed foward on the drivers side. I looked at it under the truck and the frame isnt bent at all! YES! I thought it would be totaled. I was lucky I wasnt hit though. The S2000 was totaled! The hood was like a sardine can and the fender and lighting assembly was 20 feet away from the accident. The front right tire was shoved into the passenger side seat. Amazing how steel compares to fiberglass. I really just cant beleive that this happened. The bed and tailgate are completly fine! Only the rearend and bumper are shot. Insurance is giving me money to fix it (thats what they say). If not someone is getting sewed. I almost had no left leg, its almost unbeleivable. It all happened so quick. i got sick about 20 minutes after the wreck from looking at my tuck in the situation it was in. It hurt me deep down to the soul! HAHA

Just like the lady who did this to my truck was only doing 35MPH...YEAH RIGHT!

Glad to hear you are OK.
Better make sure your tranny isn't dammaged too. If the drive shaft bottomed out on the tranny, it could have killed it, could damage the engine too.

Glad to hear all the people are OK.. You were being looked after well...Sorry to hear about the truck, but it does sound like it is repairable. Glad you and your buds are OK!

Man that really sucks! Glad to hear there were no injuries. I hope your frame is OK like you think it is.

Very lucky. As a commercial truck driver I see alot of inattentive drivers. One thing I like to do when I see someone talking on a cell phone while driving is blow the air horn, which usually earns me the your #1 sign.
Be Safe.

I think I'd be pleading temporary insanity for what I would have done to the other driver.

dont really know, id probably take any reasonable offer. it doesnt have the center section, and no axles. its set up for a four link, and shortened some, if your still interested in it ill measure it. i think your probably close enough to pick it up, which would be a good idea because shipping would probably be alot

Well if it makes you feel any better:
#1) at least you are okay
#2) you f***ed up a stupid ricer without even having to do anything, thats the best part.

I know its not joking matter, but one less cocky "Race driving" honda on the road is always good...i know its not right to impose stereotypes on people, but seriously, what person that drives an import little ricer doesnt try to Roleplay as that homo from fast and the furious...ok maybe not all, but most of the ones in my town sure do, i wouldnt be surprised if he was going 55 instead of 25, damn

I hardly think the S2000 can be considered a ricer-quality car. It costs a lot more than a civic and actually is a sports car, and therefore is allowed (IMO) to receive sporty customizations. This one was bone-stock as far as we know.

They're great cars. I love to drive my "cocky, race-driving, homo" brother's S2000. Actually he's quite the sensible driver. And married. He grew up on the same farm I did. Give a guy a break.

I know you're just joking about that stuff. But why even say it? You have no idea who that guy/gal is. As far as I can see this was at night and we don't even know if 450hp even had any lights on. That would probably prove to be a big surprise to anyone driving anything.

well first off buddy, the accident report proved that he was "racing". He admitted to it also. I had the park lights on and sice i have the reverse lights on a switch, i had them on too. He admitted to seeing the lights also. I have 3 witnesses that were walking right near us when it happened saying that he had downshifted a gear coming out of the left lane and before he knew it he hit us. He was "racing".

Anyway i got the bed off which is amazingly fine. And it seems that the trailing arm on the left side ran up into carrier bearing crossmember and bent that crossmember all up. The frame is fine "i think". I could have beat that dudes @$$ as soon as it happened but it was one of those 19 year old little phillipino guys driving and he had racing stickers on his car. He was in a racing club it seems. Something to do with "ultraspeed".

So GMCBLUE he is a fag from a "ricer club" and i got his insurane company to pay for it all

If it were me--I would have back pain, leg pain, neck pain and before I settled with the insurance company, I would be talking to a lawyer. That butthead came within inches of killing you and you are walking away------HELLO~~~~~~you could be driving a completely restored show truck with the settlement!! This wasn't a unfortunate accident by someone due to weather, old age or some other reasonable situation. Think this thing thrugh~~~~.

Well then that settles it. Take him for all he's worth--he was needlessly endangering others' lives. BTW, nothing you had said before indicated he was any of these things and I was simply trying to keep from making snap conclusions. Trying to be objective.

And my name ain't buddy.
