heads for a 305?

this is not a WTB post just asking, okay i am going to be replacing the heads on my freshly rebuilt 305 after it took a spill into he floor one is messed up what should i look at paying locally for a used set that i can have redone at a machine shop . will be doing it ina few weeks i can get reman heads for 167 a piece what do yal think?

Look for a set from a later year. The early ones seemed to have issues with cracking. I would say early 90s but i'm not sure how far into the 90s the 305 was being used. I wouldn't pay more than $100.00 to $150.00 for the pair if they need to see the machinest. Alitttle over $300.00 doesn't seem to bad if they are ready to bolt on.

I've got a good set but shipping would be outragous.

305 ho,s are the best 305 head. i think the number is 993 but not for certain.

i can get a full set from advance for $335 alread redone might just go that way mine was done but like i said the motor to a fall intot he floor and messed the the mounting area for the vavle covers and one vavle
