help me identify this frame addition...???

Okay - a little background...

Recently I picked up some used parts and with the deal came (what I was told) was a 1969 LWB frame...with a disc upgrade in the front - no problem.

That is until I started looking at it. I have seen many frames on this site, but I have never seen anything like this (leaf springs attached to frame like this).

I thought maybe they were 'helper springs' until I did some investigating on this forum and found that they are not the same thing at all...

This is a 5 lug frame with front discs...

Here are the pix that I have - anybody have any ideas?

Thanks.

Over-load springs. Different, but the same.

Re: help me identify this frame addition...???

wonder if they were an aftermarket overload spring, because all of my books just show the behind the axle type for coil spring suspension.....
