First time fabbing a bracket: MV IV BBC Lng wtr PS pump

I need to make a power steering pump bracket for a 76' Mark IV 454 BBC. Driver side, with a long style edelbrock victor aluminum water pump.

Has anyone made one before that can give me some tips? Pics? If not, a clear front, side, and rear picture of a stock setup will suffice. I have access to an industrial metal shop.

Thanks guys! This is my first time fabbing up a bracket - I need the help.

I can only tell you what I am going to do. If you want to use an original BB setup, they are out there and available to purchase. They are made of stamped mild steel. If you want to use a SB unit (non remote filler) youll have to fab one up. I would use 3/16" mild steel plate. you could use plywood to mock it up and use the plywood for a template for your steel plate.
Im going to use one of the newer small GM remote filler power steering pumps. Im going to fab it up in like manner, and powdercoat it. Detroit speed and engineering also sell these pumps and brackets. Hope this helps.

I bought a stock setup on ebay thats supposedly a GM reman.

Ill let you guys know how it works. Payed $60 with shipping, but im willing after spending a fruitless day junkyard diving

I want to confirm though, a non remote fill type pump wont work with this type of bracket?

Will the stock bracket need to be modified to use a 73-87 hydroboost style PS pump?
