Spid ?

http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com/de...2/90130752.htm

Is this SPID correct? It's listed as custom sport truck and cheyenne super. I don't really know anything about how GMCs were optioned so I thought I would ask.

Re: Spid ?

I've got one that has CST ,Cheyenne Super and Sierra Grande. 71 was the one year in the middle of the CST and Cheyenne Super option. Most of the GMC's I've had has the Cheyenne Super option instead of Sierra Grande. Confused yet. I would say the SPID is correct, but seats look a shade off. Also looks like a 70 color. Missing the tool box door? SPID may be correct ,but may be added. Hard to tell by the pics.

On a base equipped truck, yes.
On a small block/auto truck (10 series) the 3.07 gear was standard.

The odd thing I'm seeing, there's a few options there that shouldn't be listed.
The dome light switches... that would be the door oporated ones, should be included in CST/Cheyenne
The Guages should be included in the cheyenne super
The molding... if I'm not mistaken, also part of the super.
The leaf springs shouldn't have been optional in 71 on a GMC... only in 69.

However, we've all seen goofy stuff listed, or worded funny in these trucks.
It looks real enough to me, but I haven't examined eleventy billion of them like some of the others around here.
