Pics of sport bumper and hitch?

I want to install a sport bumper, but still need a hitch to tow boats in the summer.

Anyone have pictures of this? Really wanna get that sport bumper.

I have a step bumper now and the hitch is below that Scrapes on speed bumps

Re: Pics of sport bumper and hitch?

I have a sport bumper and a hidden class 3 hitch. I cut the mounting brackets off a Suburban hitch, shortened the center tube and welded the brackets on the center tube so that the reciever sits behind the license plate bracket. I cut a hole in the license bracket that is normally hidden by the license plate.
I will try to get pics soon.

Re: Pics of sport bumper and hitch?

I think they sell a hidden hitch kit for the sport bumpers. The PO of my truck installed a hitch and the license plate bracket is like on of those that have a gas filler behind them... Flip it down and the receiver is behind it.

Re: Pics of sport bumper and hitch?

I found a picture of the truck that shows the license plate holder. It is a 67-72 but I believe the bumpers are quite similar. Anyway, the license plate backing was replaced with what you see. It is spring-loaded and flips down to expose the receiver portion of the hitch. It was a pretty clean way of doing it because it disappeared when you weren't using it.

Cool. Thaks everyone

one more question- is the bottom of the sport bumper the same height from the ground as the step bumper?
