Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
Yeah I am single so that helps lol.. And the elky really is a rust bucket.. I've had my fun with it.. I saved it for a while it was sitting in a junk yard with no wheels on it, right on the ground for like 8 years.. Its really not worth fixing.. I am gonna take the posi unit out of it and stick in the rear end of the black truck because I suspect it has 4:10s being a I6 and 3spd. And install that in my 82.

After having my engine hoist kick the bucket.. It took me all day to borrow a hoist. BUT before I loaded the mustang up and headed to the track... I managed to pull the motor and stab it in the truck.. I'll finish bolting it in and then clean everything else up during the week. Hope to have it running next weekend. I'm tired.. lol

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
Interesting ---- i think you'll make it though. 3 weeks is realistic just to get it running
Some guys could do it in a long weekend, but they have too much spare time on their hands |

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
The only thing is.. the truck has been sitting since 1995. So I am going to end up having to go through all the brakes. Everything rubber is shot, gas tank, u-joints, electrical, possible front end, etc... I want the truck on the road in three weeks....we will see lol.

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
Wow. I can't believe both those truck have sport mirrors on them.
What's the condition on the '76? It looks as good if not better than the '82. Frankly, I would have been using the '82 as a parts truck for the '76.

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
It has no floors....I'm scared the seat is gonna fall through lol ... Its rusty as hell.... Its got a 250 six and a 3 on the tree. Blown head gasket. Plus its non a/c. I am getting a 84 long bed diesel 4x4.. thats in real nice shape but I don't want diesel, longbed or 4x4. SO I am gonna set that cab and front clip on that 76 chassis. Yeah I lucked out on the mirrors, but both have the ugly step rear bumpers..

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
I was thinking the same thing.. I wish you were closer, that is nearly rust free for up here! I guess if I can make mine livable on the highway pullin the trailer, and find some gas money, I could liberate some stuff from your yard... its not like my yard doesnt look like yours already..

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
76 cab and title free to a good home.. lol... The 82 has no rust through except for the right fender under the battery tray.. I have a complete nice front clip off a 87 suburban and the power doors so I wont have to worry about the surface rust.

Re: Project Three Weeks....Build thread~~~~~
Well this weekend was my buddys b-day so I didn't do anything saturday night but go watch some racing and strip club lol.. But I got up this morning stuck the tranny crossmember in it.. and made sure the driveshaft I got is going to work. Not much progress but atleast I did do something.. I got a few days off for turkey day so I will have some time to mess with it.
