Floor Shift.....?
I'm thinking about running a floor shifter in my 69 pickup...
Does anyone have any pics/suggestions to any shifters that fit good in these trucks? Oh yeah my tranny is the th400. |

Re: Floor Shift.....?
Jrromney69- Welcome to the board from Maryland!. I started a similar thread last week asking for pics of the Megashifter and got a few here:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=266052. In case you didn't know, there is a nice search feature at the top of the page if you are looking for info on different things. Board member Krue has also organized a nice FAQ section that has lots of great info that you might be interested in!. Check this out- http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=262547. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Everybody is more than willing to help!

Re: Floor Shift.....?
There is a B&M shifter in my blazer.I believe it's just a regular megashifter though..The blazer has the high hump floor of course being a 4wd so the shifter is within easy reach. No backup lights though...I'm converting it back to column shift.I'd rather do that than have to use a toggle switch to turn on the reverse lights...

Re: Floor Shift.....?
1969k10stepside- your shifter should have a micro-switch mounted to it to activate the reverse lights. You can buy the switch for few bucks and avoid the toggle switch. I just did this last night with my new shifter. Here is one of many on ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/B-M-N...QQcmdZViewItem. It's a 5 minute job!

Re: Floor Shift.....?
Here's mine it's a quarter stick reverse valve pattern with cable coming out the back. Had father in law make me a stand and works perfect. Don't have to lean up at all when out of park.
