Anyone use this 5sp kit?

Saw an ad for these guys in a mag. Anyone use them? Or maybe you have some input on whether this would be a good way to go.

Re: Anyone use this 5sp kit?

I was leaning towards finding an old Muncie or something that would hold up behind a big block. This one sounds pretty stout though and that extra gear would be nice. I was thinking the deluxe kit was a little pricey and then I added up what I have in my GV overdrive and TCI 400 the price is really pretty good.

Is this for the panel? I have heard good things about them, but I quess it really come down to if you want to use a clutch. I found with a regular driver it is a little tiring after awhile.

My "fleet" has really changed since I picked up the panel. And its close to two years behind where I had hoped to have it finished. Even though I have the complete drive train to finish her up, Ive really been having a hankering for a 60s hot roddish style ride. I have a 427 I can freshen up and use. And it seems to me a truck (or car) built in this style should have a manual trans....for fun ,

I agree on the manual getting tiring, but since the usage of the panel has changed Im ok with shifting.

I know some guys that have used their 5 speed conversions in their Corvettes with great success. They are a quality product.
