instrument cluster removal (1972)
I'm attempting to remove the instrument cluster to get at the washer pump in my 72 C2500. I am able to black wiper switch but not the chrome piece behind it. I am not able to remove the light switch at all.
What's the secret? thx, eric

The chrome piece just screws on there,turn it to the left,on top of the headlight switch is a button you have to push down and pull out on the switch ,it will come out in youre hand,then remove the chrome piece on it as well,good luck!!!!!!!!!!

Also, if you're planning on having that headlight switch out for any length of time be sure to disconnect the battery as your headlights will be on.

I got the panel after some persuasion. The washer pump install is just not worth the effort. I am thinking of removing it and going to a remote solution. The GM engineer who decided to put the pump on the inside of the firewall should have been shot.
