HELP!! stuck head

I am in the process of trying to pull the cracked head off of my 235 but the thing is stuck on there good. I have tried a long pry bar in the exhaust port (chipped a piece off so I guess that makes up my mind about getting a new one!!), air chisel under it, but nothing seems to get it to budge. My guess is that the gasket sealant is a strong adhesive. Do you guys have any tricks to help me get it off, or is there a hidden bolt or something??

put down the hammer and put on your glasses dude! if it doesn't come loose with a medium tap of a rubber mallet you missed a bolt.

Re: HELP!! stuck head

Wipe all of the oil slug out and look again for the bolt.

No more beer for you!
Seriously, there must be a bolt that's not loose. Keep looking.

Re: HELP!! stuck head

I'll vouch for him. I was there helping him, all bolts are out, and this thing will not budge. PO might have done something interesting, as the bolts were torqued down way, way, way too tight, maybe the reason why the head cracked in the first place.
So now we know all the bolts are out, any other ideas?

Re: HELP!! stuck head

crank it over plugs in and a little gas in each hole. It should lift the head. and do put in a few bolts to keep it from launching

Its really not all that exciting. I've done it on inliners that had permatex used to glue on the head gasket.
