Neat comp cam selection program

I found this nice program from competition cams for selecting a cam , gives estimated horsepower and torque, a bit like desktop dyno.
Dunno how accurate it is maybe someone can compare it with desktop and let us know, here's the link

Re: Neat comp cam selection program

I checked it out, you need to download the program (comp cams software) 20MB, after you install it you need to enter all your engine specs( heads, flow, valves, basic cam selection, intake & flow) pretty neat if you have that information.

I built mine up, and the curves/numbers it produced looked almost exact to what Desktop Dyno did over on Billa's thread in the engine section.

Cool, I downloaded and played with it a bit. I'm assuming it's roughly 20% or so above real life numbers. It's amazing what a good set of heads and a little bump in c/r will do for a motor!. I need heads, lol.

Re: Neat comp cam selection program

I just stroked a 454 to 571. Click to the right of the bore or stroke and type in your numbers and hit return...

Re: Neat comp cam selection program

has anybody figured out the head selection on this program? i'm unsure what my Eddy 454-O semi-open chambers would be considered on the drop down menu.
