Fan Shroud ?

What kind of shroud would a 68 k20 w/ a 327 have come from the factory with. I see a lot of the 67's have the metal fan guard. I see a few pics of 68's with the same set up and also with what looks like the same shroud as 69-72's but maybe a little thinner. Anyone have an answer?

Thanks, Scott

Re: Fan Shroud ?

The small metal shrouds were usually found on the 6 cylinders. The v-8 4x4 shroud was a full, deeper one and i think they were all the same for a 4x4.

Re: Fan Shroud ?

This is the shroud from a 67 K20 4x4 w/ 327. Some sort of composit material, maybe fiberglass. Deep shroud though.

Re: Fan Shroud ?

Thanks for the pic Odog & also to too much for the info. Odog, is that the stock water neck for a 327, looks like it comes straight out the front towards the oil fill tube. Hey, another ?. Do either of you know if 68 4x4's used the metal upper rad hose?

Thanks, Scott

Re: Fan Shroud ?

All the 4x4 67-72s had metal upper rad. hoses stock as far as I know..And I've only seen the regular deep fan shroud on the 4wds,no metal ones.
