What is "except G and I-X Series" in factory assembly manual?

I see it at the top of the pages and cant figure it out.

I think X stands for tilt-cab and I might be forward control, or is that for the P series? Heck i don't know.

P is for step van. (like a bread truck)

I think I and X may be forward and tilt. I will have to look in my 68 GMC service manual.
