reinforcing the floor
I picked up a set of 40-20-40 seats with integrated belts in them. I want to reinforce the floor to accommodate the seats what do you all think is the best way? I was planning on welding some plate underneath the entire cab, but honestly I haven't been to my friends shop to see what the underneath looks like. Something like 16 gauge.
Any thoughts? Oh and I got the seats and console out of a 04 for 150 bucks without a blemish on them! Mark |

Re: reinforcing the floor
I always put a large grade 8 washer or a piece of metal plate under the nut on the underside 2" to 3" round

Re: reinforcing the floor
I've had a 60/40 in mine for years with just through bolts with large washers underneath.
I look at it this way.....the front mounts see very little tension because the seat back rests against the back of the cab. The seat belts anchor to the floor (stock location), so what kind of situation is it going to take for the seat to pull through the floor....I can't think of any.

Re: reinforcing the floor
Or you could get some Steel from your local hardware store (Lowe's, Home depot, etc.) and do this. Just use threadlocker!
