lowered leaf springs?
anyone running these ? lookin to lower my truck 86 1/2 ton sometime in the near future and this is all new to me. so any input would be great! was thinking 3 inch drop spindles in front and maybe the leaf spring 5 inch in rear? what other changes can i expect to get into shock change etc.. thanks in advance for your help! brothers sells these! Finally, a way to lower the rear of your factory leaf spring truck. These lowered rear leaf springs are designed especially for the 1973-87 Chevy and GMC trucks. These are not de-arched multi leaf sets. They are sold in pairs and are available in 2", 3", 4" and 5" increments. These are oversized and have an extra shipping charge of $45.

Re: lowered leaf springs?
I didn't know anyone sold them anymore. If you can get them, they are a good alternative to cutting the bed support if you opt for the cheaper shackles.

Re: lowered leaf springs?
I am running 3" leafs in the back with shackles and hangers. Made sense to me because my leaf springs were wore out anyway. I didn't see the sense in putting new stock leafs, then flipping it. I think that you lose any ability to haul anything heavy, but not an issue for my truck. Overall, I have been very happy with mine, and it was an easy swap. Bought all of mine at performance suspension components. Best of luck.
