Correct exterior mirrors for a 1967 Camper Special????

It looks like the old girl will be going to paint next week. There are an assortment of holes in the mirror areas. I am unsure as to what are the correct mirrors to put on the truck. I have seen some pics here on the site of 67-68 Camper Specials but does anyone have any pictures they know are correct for the 1967 Camper Special mirrors?????

On another note..............anyone have any for sale????

Re: Correct exterior mirrors for a 1967 Camper Special????

I agree, there is no correct style camper mirror for the 67-72. The mirrors became a seperate option, which is why there are so many different styles seen on these trucks. Many came with the small standard round mirrors, and later the owner would put on a set of aftermarket chrome western style mirrors, if they did not like the factory alternatives and prices.GM tried to lower the price on the Camper package by omitting the custom cab, custom comfort option and western mirrors that were standard on the 65-66 Custom Campers.

It`s Custom Camper!!! I wonder what Custom Group Z61 and Z62 is?I don`t see Any mirror option so they`d be painted unless one of these groups includes stainless.

Re: Correct exterior mirrors for a 1967 Camper Special????

It looks like the truck has plenty of nice options to make up for the lack of mirrors. The simple western type mirror usually found on the 67-68's would probably look the best.

Re: Correct exterior mirrors for a 1967 Camper Special????

When I pull the door panels to remove the handles or paint I will feel around inside to see if there were stock mirrors mounted there before. I have a brand new set that I might go with.

Re: Correct exterior mirrors for a 1967 Camper Special????

I was guessing those packages were such, since those packages weren`t listed. Thanks for confirming since I don`t have a decoder ring. Wouldn`t the mirrors be the bright ones?I agree...the Jr RVs would look the best.I like those little truckers.
