Head Light Mount Buckets
does any one know if the 73 chevy pickup has the same head light bucket as the 72 c/10? the reason i am asking is i cant find knew buckets for my 72. i ordered new ones from lmc, but they were for any earlier model. i called everyone i could think of and was told by all that the 72 bucket has not been reproduced yet. i called the local chevy dealer and was told they can only go back to 73. so if the 72 and the 73 are the same i can order them from the chevy dealer.

Re: Head Light Mount Buckets
If the chevy dealer is saying they only go back to 73, the buckets are going to be different. If you checked with the dealer on your side marker lights they would still have those since they were used well into the 80's in the vans and it will be in their catalogs under both.
What are the differences between what you ordered and what you have already? I find it strange that GM would change the bucket but not the bezel or the bulb for this series. I would like to know since I'll have to eventually buy one since one of mine is bent at the adjusting flange.

The 72 Has A Notch Cut Into The Bucket For The Retaining Spring To Attach To. The Earleir Models Im Not Sure How The Attach. The Difference Is The Earlier Model Has The Area Where The Spring Attaches Cut Out And You Cant Attach The Spring To It. I Will Post Pictures
