Anyone Z w/ engine still in?

wondering if anyone zed with engine still in and how difficult it was?

yes, I have seen pictures on here where people have done a z with the engine still in. IIRC, they said it wasn't hard, but I can not see how it would be easy, especially being able to access the inner frame rail to have room to properly weld. I would just do yourself a favor and pull the engine IMO.

pull the motor, I did it with mine in and took it out to finish later.

the inner framerails is what i was worried about.. i would probably have to take the headers out to get to it.. i guess ill have to check it out. i have only 2 inches till i lay pinch in the front so im not going any bigger.. you think i will have any issues with the steering. maybe just notch the upper arm?
and did you put flat stock between the rails where you z'ed to makeup for the thickness of the sawzall blade?
