Delphi nav system hacks
Ok, so I just bought an '05 Suburban to replace my stolen '04 (woo haa!) it has the Delphi nav system with the RSE (rear seat entertainment) The sales guy told me a place here in town can make it so the DVDs play through the nav screen. anybody know how to do this? I'd rather not pay for it if you guys and gals can help me..

Re: Delphi nav system hacks
I'll talk to my guys today. It has something to do with the wiring and tricking the headunit into thinking the car is in park or the e-brake is on or something like that.

Re: Delphi nav system hacks
if it has a built in speed sensor like my pioneer grounding the park wire alone wont do any thing. given the amount of junk tied into the oem nav onstar etc its more involved. a stereo shop most likely wont do it for you for legal reasons. but. found out how to bypass mine online, maybe give these guys a try www.coastaletech.com

Re: Delphi nav system hacks
Talked to the guys @ the shop. They said that legally, they can't tell me. $50,000 fine if they are held accountable in any way.

Re: Delphi nav system hacks
you can try a product called LOCKPICK i believe its from costal Ive heard good things and bad things about it but never had a chance to try it. Like AceX said we could never do it just for the fact our shop could receive a fine.

Re: Delphi nav system hacks
Probably got it all figured out now but if anyone has this question in the future mine was as simple as putting a toggle switch in line with the E-Brake function and other end to ground.
