Thumbs up Saturday June 4th 2011

Years fly by and we need to plan a trip down route 66.
I am leaving from Niagara Falls to Windsor border crossing.
Then to Chicago. Route 66 to LA. Then on the way home a quick
stop in Vegas.

It is a while away but the more people that go the better and safer it will be.

Once I have more maps I'll set all the stop over points. Anybody can join the convoy along the way.

Taking two weeks for the trip. 4th till the 18th. 2011

About 700kms or 450 miles per day.

It is 3664 kms Chicago to LA and 860 from Chicago to Niagara Falls

4525 kms of Heaven.

So far there is Sargentjones and myself going for sure.

Yeee

Haaaaa

Are you going to drive as much of the old historical 2 lane sections as possible? Should be a cool trip either way. Good Luck!

I have a CAA travel maps coming soon. I requested all the "less travelled sections" of Route 66.

Your worried about safety? What do you mean by that? Looks like a fun trip to go on.

the exact trip my wife and I have talked about doing for when the truck is ready. but it would be so cool to see as many 67-72 trucks running Route 66 count us in as this progresses.

That sounds like a great trip! We will have to keep this in mind, and maybe we can meet you here in MO. Keep us posted on the proposed route.

Re: Saturday June 4th 2011

You will have to put me down as a stopover place. My house is about 5 miles west of Route 66, just north of Tulsa.
