Is this a good deal?
My dad is getting ready to put a 700R4 in my truck and said he has my factory Powerglide sold for $400. The trans. has no leaks and works beautifully and he wanted me to check with you guys and see if that's a good deal. I think it is but was curious. Thanks for your input.

Re: Is this a good deal?
My honest opinion of the PG is it's a PiG,The only thing they really seem to be good for these days is a dedicated restoration or the dragstrip. And the dragstrip is a limited kinda deal since there are aftermarket cases that are much better.I say take the $$ and run.

Re: Is this a good deal?
Man, you guys are rough on the powerglides. But I have to agree, $400 bucks is a good price, the problem with needing to find a power glide is most of them have disapeared from the wrecking yards.

Re: Is this a good deal?
Thanks for all the replies. I emailed him last night and told him. I was pretty sure it was a great deal, (for us) but I thought I'd check with you all to be certain.
