These are the parts I have - I want a WHITE set of belts, WHITE visors, etc. What I have is parchment (white) door panels but my belts and visors are a yellow (they are in very nice shape so it's not fading) - I am looking to purchase the parchement set up in the 67-72 parts section right now. Do I or do I not have parchment belts/visors? (Compare the WHITE ones in the parts section compared to mine). Thanks to anyone who can set me straight on this!

I always thought that white and parchment were supposed to be the same. Of course I've realized that I'm wrong a lot.

I have found that you ALWAYS have to compare real samples in sunlight to get what you want and to get an exact match. I have heard off-white, ivory, and parchment. There are 100's of shades of white and I will bet that two different vendors have two different shades of white. I know how you feel and wish you luck.

For our trucks Parchment is as white as you get. The parts in your photos are parchment and are nice but may need some 409. Remember previous owners may have been smokers.

Parchment is usually a slightly off white color.

I agree with all so far - I know my parts are original, date stamped '72 - The second set I posted also APPEAR to be the real deal.
As far as original parts are concerned, why can't anyone (with the exception of DANTIP) say "Yep, that super light beige color is Parchment and there is no white" or "You have yellow and the other set it white". Where there different vendors to GM that made the belts and sent ivory, beige and white all under the description of parchment?

Looks like parchment to me. I had a 72' with the same interior. I don't think GM offered white sandle and or yellow. Parchment was it. It was what you see in both yours and the other guys items for sale in the other thread. Hey they are 36 years old and who knows what kind of use they have had. Better just buy the stuff and if it isn't a good match sell it.

I find it hard to believe parchment would ever be a name for a bright white. Parchment would be a yellow/brown/tan off white color. I imagine it gets its name from parchment paper which is certainly not a traditional white paper. That first picture is definitely parchment compared to the white seat belts.

1st picture looks like parchment. second picture may be parchment. Pull the belt all the way out of the retractor in the sun and look at what color it is at the end most likely to never see the sun. It will probably be parchment.
