Thumbs up Loving the new "Racing " page

WoW.... this is great.... a page dedicated to the "drag racers". I know it's still in it's infancy but thispage already has quite a bit of "goodies" to keep a "hot rodder" (NOT a in street rodder) like me "entertained" while trying to shake off the "cabin fever" that all east coast piston heads get this time every Winter.

We are just starting on our C10 pickup... short wheel base step-side. Right now we are in the "parts collecting stage" of the project. Before the weather turned we hit all the "swap meets" we could which for us is "part of the fun" building a car, truck or motorcycle.

So far have picked up a "donor roof" to be used as "fill" when we chop the top 5" as soon as the weather breaks in the Spring. Also picked up a one piece fiberglass tilt front end - "Hot Rods to Hell" Rear end Performance Kit - and a 350 CI engine (4 bolt mains) that we are going to stroke to 383CI with roller cam, etc, etc.... going to lighten up the truck as much as possible without taking away it's ability to be "street legal" so we can also use it for going to cruises and shows.

Overall we intend on building to look like a '60's GASSER and right now we are still trying to decide what to do with the front suspension. Keep wanting to use a TRUE GASSER's straight front axle instead of the one's commonly used today.

Needless to say this is going to be a "long-term" project..... gonna do it right the first time which as you know takes more time & especially $$$ money $$$ to do.

It's nice to have a group here on this forum to share things with.

MUCH more to come and look forward to your posts, advice & encouragement.
