They are different wheelbases and the frame shape is a good bit diifferent. Anything is possible, but not sure how worth itthe effort would be to do it.

Don' t see why you couldn't. There is a guy that lives near here and he put a '66 Chevy on a '98 frame, he even cut out the floor pan from the 66 and welded in the 98, truck looked awesome!!!

Here's one on E-bay. It's on a 97 Tahoe 4x4 frame.

Re: possible to put body on a 99+ frame

Hmmmmm. Never thought of a Tahoe, the wheelbase is probably just about right for our year trucks.

My mind is rolling...................

It's easy to see a lot of work was put into that truck. It should ride n drive like a 'hoe. It was his bummin around vehicle? Must be nice. It's pretty much a show piece. This Nils guy. Was he the one who usually wore a head rag?

Re: possible to put body on a 99+ frame

From My understandiing, the rear rails come in various lengths depending on what the wheel base is. There is a guy up here that used a complete drivetrain and all he did was order new rear frame rails to make the extended cab shortbox into a regular cab short, and it bolts on!

I have pics somewhere.
