Back from Moultrie! -Lotsa truck pics inside!

We had a blast! There were a lot of nice 67-72's there today and I got to meet several more board members. I bought a new grill and some other stuff from Tim Christian and he is a great guy to deal with. Gonna post these and hit the hay Here's the pics - Enjoy!!

Pretty sure this one has had a LWB box cut down the front for a SWB, but they didn't do the rear. The box looks out of proportion.

Re: Back from Moultrie! -Lotsa truck pics inside!

Some clean originals, and a great patina'd 67 SWB fleet. I thought about buying the it, but I resisted the urge!! It was a 250 L6 - Powergide truck with factory power steering.

Re: Back from Moultrie! -Lotsa truck pics inside!

This one was a little odd. It had the side moldings made from chrome and black vinyl. It actually didn't look too bad, except it should have been trimmed down and tapered at the front.

This one has a 99-06 bed on it. I personally don't prefer it, but I remember someone wondering what it would look like a while back, so here it is!

My personal favorite of the day. I love the hugger and white on 69 - 72's with body side trim. It had a houndstooth interior with Cheyenne Super woodgrain also. Perfect!

Some real beauties there, how much were they asking for the 67 with the patina?

Here are some my favorite cars of the day. The Vista Cruiser tucking 20/22's was pretty popular!

Re: Back from Moultrie! -Lotsa truck pics inside!

That Vista Cruiser is very cool. Even though they are big and tanky, they make great family cars. My best friends parents had one for a while when I was a kid. I went on several trips with them and can remember staring out of the top window for hours. With a little modernization i.e. fuel injection or an LS1/auto combination, it would be just as cool and unique as it was then and more drivable.

Re: Back from Moultrie! -Lotsa truck pics inside!

I was going to give you a shout but my phone didnt have a signal.

The green GMC was sold when I walked past it and I couldnt believe the asking price on that rusted Suburban.......come to think of it......the asking prices on most of the running vehicles I saw were WAY out of line.

I did have a great time...It was my first.

We had a blast. I wanted to meet with you too, David, but I don't have your number in my phone. I thought I did. I also picked up this radio with the knobs for $20. It probably doesn't work, but it will do a good job of plugging the hole in dash and I'll use a CD player in the glove box in one of my trucks. It has a few very light pits in the face, but is overall the nicest one I've ever had.

I would have loved to met you guys as well! I didn't know you were planning a southern road trip. You guys were less than 100 miles from me.

damn, I stopped in Adel, GA while driving my bare roller frame down to FL. Had some older guy stop me at Burger King and tell me the Moultrie meet was going on, and he gabbed for about 20 minutes after stopping me to ask questions about my frame. I think he was amazed at the shape it was in
