Dash bezel question...
Hey guys. I just acquired a 73 and I'll be picking it up this weekend in Nevada. I've been looking around different website checking on some parts that I may need. I noticed that most companies offer dash/gauge bezels for 75 and up. What different on a 73-74? Will the later bezels fit? I'm not sure of the condition of the one in the truck, I was just checking around. Thanks for the help!

Re: Dash bezel question...
They are different around the headlamp and wiper switches. If you change to a later wiper switch, a later bezel should work fine. The later wiper switches are lit up from the back and have a larger hole, the earlier ones are not lit up. The hole around the headlamp switch is smaller and comes up towards the know on the older bezels also. Other than that, they shoul dbe the same to 77, then 78-80 are different (but I think they will interchange; never tried), and 81-up will not work with an 80-earlier dash pad. (however, a 73-80 bezel will work with an 81-up dash pad).

Re: Dash bezel question...
No kidding! The dash bezel was a huge frustration for me. I finally found one on ebay but it was after getting one wrong one and searching for about 3 months. You'll have to get one for 73/74 specifically if you aren't changing wipers.
The one I got out of a 1980 was too sharp at the top corners, too deep for the dash, and the wiper and light holes didn't quite line up. Definitely try to get one for our years, especially if you are willing to be patient about it. Here's what you want to look for:

Re: Dash bezel question...
i believe they are hard to find... you gotta watch out for all those guys on eBay and craigslist, cuz they almost ALWAYS list the stuff under a '73-87' heading. just make sure it fits first

Re: Dash bezel question...
There is a place in Fort Worth that will swap you out a redone one for a used one and I think it is around $75.00. You send them your old and they will send you the refurbished one. They redo the chrome completely and repaint. Let me know if interested and I will look it up and give the address or phone number.

Re: Dash bezel question...
Here is their link to their website. I have contacted them by phone about a year ago and they said they do them for our pickups.
