Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

I'm looking for a good way to install speakers into a factory (or what appears to be factory) blazer/burb side panel. I'm going to experiment with making my own panels to look as close to the originals as possible, while integrating speakers as well. I don't want mine to be very visible, so it's going to be a challenge.

Does anyone have any good ideas, pics, etc?

On the other hand, my panel design keeps growing in monstrosity. see my attached ideas, even though they aren't exactly what i'm describing...

I also uploaded the .pdf so you can see it bigger...

They look very cool. any details on the wood grain and the trim around the outside? Iwant to do somthing like that. I didn't have a plan yet, but that looks better than the original design.

Re: Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

I Have Also Seen An Install That The Guy Took A Spare Matching Tire Put It In The Factory Mount Inside The Blazer But Instead Of A Wheel Being In The Middle He Had A 12"sub Mounted In The Center And A Full Carpeted Cover Over It And At First Glance You Never Would Have Known It Had A Sub In It
Also Make Sure You Seal Off The Sub With Proper Air Space Or It Will Over Power Your Forward Speaker And Distort It And End Up Sounding Bad For Both Speakers If You Dont Have Enough Room For Proper Air Space
Ask The Guys In Truck Audio I Think Poly Fill (like Pillow Stuffing) Gives The Sound Of More Air Space To A Sub

Re: Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

what's your opinion on whether one should install marine-grade speakers for a blazer, which runs with its top off 3/4 of the year? no big deal?

Re: Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

Since I Will Be Starting From Scratch And There Is No Money Difference
Im Gonna Go Marine Grade
It Is Not My Style But They Make A Powered Sub Enclosure That Looks Just Like A Nitrous Bottle Or An Air Tank Kinda Cool Ive Seen It On E-bay A Couple Of Times When I Was Pricing Marine Stereo Stuff
Ive Been Around Several Boats With High End Systems This Last Year And They Sound Just As Good If Not Better
But I Think These Guys Had Deeper Pockets Than Me

Re: Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

My stuff has gotten wet a few times and still seemed to work ok. I think if you let it dry out right away it doesn't really hurt it. If you have the money though go with the water proofed system

I like what they did with that orange 4x4. I'm looking for something to put some 6x9's in and maybe go with the kick panel speaker hole idea up front.

ya that orange one blows mine away for sure.
these are non-marine grade speakers, no problems so far.

Nope, I'm not very talented , I had a friend do it.
Its just a design to break up the box so it doesn't look so much like, well, a box.
I'll post pics of the finished interior as soon as the rear seat is done.

Re: Can I see pics of nice speaker installs in/near the side panels?

Here's what I did. And it's all marine grade stuff; it rains around here in the summer afternoons & it leaks even when the top is on...don't all Blazers?
4" in console, 6x9 in rear panels, with Kenwood amp under console, and Sony receiver.
