205 shift lever question

I have a 73 gmc 4 speed 4x4 that Im going to part out. The shift lever is straight, will it work in my 68? can I heat it @ bend the lever like the 72@ older or should I find the correct one

i'd try it before you heat it. i know it's shorter than a 72 but as long as it clears the seat i'd run it as is.
