totally optioned out '67 -?
I have seen a lot of examples of heavily optioned '71 and 72's, but I haven't seen any '67's. Does anyone have any pictures of a heavily optioned '67? They seem to be plain janes more than anything.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
teeitup/ randy had a pretty well optioned 67 GMC not to long ago, if i remember right it had buddy buckets, speedwarning, air conditioning, and a 345? V6... i pretty sure they put tachs in in '67, and you could get stainless trim, a big back window, ect.
they do seem to be more plain jane than the later ones though, i just bought one today and it doesnt even have armrests, ive never noticed that they didnt have them before |

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
My '67 has quite a few options. Custom trim, but small back window and no side moldings. Factory A/C, gauges, 'Camper Cruiser' package, 351 V-6, 4 speed. I added a tach., power steering (yup, original '67 ram style), and power brakes.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
I think one of the reasons is that in 1967 trucks were just starting to be used as a second form of transformation and being bought with more factory options. If you look at the 67-72 model years I would say it is much easier to find a loaded "factory" optioned truck in 72 than in 67. I think the options avaliable in the 72 trucks were many more than 67. This is one of the reasons a loaded 67-68 is more rare than a 69-70...and a loaded 69-70 is more rare than a 71-72. I might be wrong with my thinking but I will let others chime in.

The '67 C-20 LWB stepper I have is really basic, doesn't even have the mounting holes for a passenger side sun visor.
It has a 6 cylinder with a 4 speed transmission. Danny |

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
I have a decently optioned '67....
*CST Trim *Cloth Bench Seat *PS *PB *Big Back Window *327 w/ TH400 *Gauges (no tach though). Frankly- the only two things that make a hillabeens difference is the PS and PB. Everything else will be modified and / or upgraded.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
The options & features increased through the 67-72 era. These are the trucks that transitioned trucks to the modern era. From the beginning to the end,GMC started offering V8s while phasing out the V6,big blocks became available,Blazers& Jimmys were born, the Suburban became what it is today with the second seat getting it`s own door,Panels gave way to the van, disc brakes,a higher percentage of higher optioned trucks, tilt wheel...the list goes on.That is what has made the "New Breed" an instant success and made lifelong fans from day one. There have been well optioned trucks ever since alot of options were offered, starting in the`50s.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
Frpm what I've seen and judging from I've owned it seems that a lot of highly optioned trucks were Custom Campers. Although they are are out there, it seems the percentage of having a 1/2 SWB that is highly optioned is much lower that the Custom Camper 3/4 tons. I have never seen (or even heard of) a highly optioned '67 stepper. I really hope to find a nice '67 CST SWB fleetside one day. Of all of them, it has to be my favorite of the era.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
For some a "factory" optioned truck is more valuable then installing options to a truck after its been purchased. I think it comes down to personal preferance. My 70CST lwb has about all the factory options that one could get in the 70 model year (AC, 402bb, 400 auto, buckets, tach, tinted windows, sport chrome bumpers, etc) but I did add, am-fm radio, tilt, five lug disc brakes and will also be adding a factory rear slider. As for me I like all the 67-72 trucks. It can be a plain Jane I-6 or fully optioned 4x4. All 67-72 Chevy/GMC trucks rock because they are built like a rock. That is what makes this particular hobby so special. We don't snub our nose if another truck doesn't fit to our liking.

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
My 67 came with most of the available options except for maybe a/c.
Even has, spot lights, chrome bumper and bumper guards and bucket seats but I think some of that was automatic on the CST in 67 but they were not listed on spid. This one even has the speed warning/Tach/Manual throttle dash

At least you got a 4spd. Hell, mine came with practically no options and a 3spd

Re: totally optioned out '67 -?
I think Solver's sticker puts mine to shame. I think I may need to find a truck with a more respectable spid.
